As with all of my children and baby photography sessions at the studio, preparation is key. For me, that involves spending a certain amount of time beforehand coming up with ideas on how to pose everyone and how best to light them. Of course, when you are photographing children and babies the best laid plans sometimes go out of the window and you have to be a bit flexible in your approach, go with the flow and react to their current mood.
I had no problems with Grace’s two children a couple of weeks ago. They were a pleasure to work with and Kristin had the cutest smile I’ve seen on a little girl in a long while. The first photograph below of father and daughter is my favourite and is something I had envisioned a couple of days before the session.
